Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data is powerful, but it has historically been locked behind expensive software and complex interfaces. Our mission is simple: Make TIGER/Line and Shapefile data accessible to everyone.
Whether you are a real estate investor analyzing parcels, a student working on a thesis, or a developer building a map app, you shouldn’t need a degree in GIS just to view a spreadsheet of addresses or coordinates.
How We Are Different
Most online converters require you to upload your sensitive files to a remote server, where they sit in a database you can’t control. GeoConvert is different.
We built a powerful engine that runs directly in your web browser. When you drop a file onto GeoConvert, it is processed by your own computer’s CPU. This means:
